Energy efficient cooling of people and Buildings

EcoCooling evaporative cooling systems consume 85% less electricity than traditional refrigeration based air conditioning systems. This energy saving is reflected in substantial carbon savings.

Evaporative cooling has been used widely in UK industrial applications for many years. Higher energy costs, increased carbon awareness and improved technology has led to the increased use of EcoCoolers in both the private and public sector in applications such as offices, retail, schools, leisure centres and hospitals.

Evaporative cooling is an alternative to refrigeration based air conditioning and is used as part of a balanced ventilation system to cool buildings. A typical EcoCooler, rated at 35KW, can reduce electricity costs by over £2000 and save 10,000kg of carbon over a year compared to an equivalent refrigeration based system.

A standard EcoCooler, covering an area of approx. 200sqm can produce up to 50KW of cooling in the UK whilst consuming only 1.5KW of electricity. Typically an installation is a quarter of the cost of traditional air-conditioning and just 15% of the running costs.
