GDF SUEZ

Electricity and Gas Supply
As a major energy supplier to industrial and commercial customers in the UK, GDF SUEZ Energy UK offers an innovative range of energy supply products to meet the requirements of all types of business, from small industrial and commercial companies, to energy-intensive industrial plants. We are constantly developing new products and adapting our services to meet the needs of business customers throughout the country. Our involvement in upstream and downstream activities enables us to deliver security of supply, choice, innovation and flexibility to UK businesses.

Electricity Generation
Since 2002, GDF SUEZ Energy UK has been investing in new electricity generation capacity in the UK. We own and operate Shotton Combined Heat and Power (CHP) power station and Teesside Power station which is Europe's largest Combined-Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) CHP electricity generation plant. We aim to continue expanding our portfolio through acquisitions and investment, strengthening our position as a major player in the UK electricity generation market.

Investing for a Sustainable Future
GDF SUEZ Energy UK is always looking for opportunities to invest in renewable energy capacity and is actively developing onshore wind technology. We have purchased a windfarm project at Craigengelt in Scotland which will be the Group's first windfarm in the UK. This is currently under construction and will be completed in 2010. We have also signed agreements to purchase the entire output from two other major windfarms in Scotland.
