As with any change in a company’s focus, adding remanufacturing to the corporate strategic vision requires a commitment from the top first. Remanufacturing cannot simply be a sidebar appended to an existing department; it must be woven into the very thread of the firm. Drawing on Canon’s own experiences, this discussion session will explore the business/environmental drivers, challenges and benefits around remanufacturing. Additionally the discussion will examine the differences between remanufacturing and refurbishment.
