Resource Efficiency Knowledge Transfer Network
The Resource Efficiency Knowledge Transfer Network (RE-KTN) supports better use of material and energy resources by UK industry, by increasing access to the considerable expertise that resides within the science, technology and engineering base within the UK and elsewhere to enable the development and implementation of innovative solutions to provide commercial advantage to UK businesses.
RE-KTN provides a forum for organisations to interact. The Resource Efficiency web-portal employs advanced software to provide a range of knowledge transfer services for its members; ranging from targeted news feeds and signposting service through to no-cost voice-over-internet conferencing facilities. The ability for members to post content themselves, in the form of requests for solutions to problems, partner searches, case studies, forthcoming events etc, provides a powerful means to share expertise and foster a truly interactive network.
Individual business support is also available, in particular to facilitate technology translation and promote novel "demonstrator" type projects. Assistance to access UK and EU R&D funding, partner searches for collaborative projects and access to additional technical personnel through Industrial CASE studentships and KTPs are all part of the free service offered to the membership.
Membership of the Resource Efficiency KTN is open to organisations and individuals interested in improving resource efficiency. For further information, visit www.resource-efficiency.org
